Well, what a difference a week makes in football. Two wins in the league sees Wanderers moving in the right direction up the table with new signings playing their part from the off. There was a healthy crowd at The Doucy last Saturday to watch Glen Driver’s side build on the impressive away win at Lowestoft with a well earned victory against a resilient Witham Town side.
This Saturday will see the first home league local derby of the season with the visit of Stowmarket Town (3pm kick off). Despite the visitors sitting bottom of the league we know all too well how the fortunes of any team can quickly change and Wanderers will need to be at their best to see off a team who will be looking to start their own run of good form. The Stowmarket side is full of talent and, with any derby match, the form book gets thrown out of the window.
We are hoping for a good crowd at The Doucy with no home game for our high flying neighbours Ipswich Town. With a run of home games upcoming, this is a crucial few weeks for the Wanderers and Glen, the team and all the club officials and volunteers will be keen to see as many of you as possible come and lend your support. There is no better sight for any of us than a full ground singing and cheering the lads on.
Finally we would like to say a huge thank you, as always, to our match sponsors Magic Word Media https://magicwordmedia.com , we look forward to seeing you and your guests on Saturday.
