We welcome our fellow Suffolk side Bury Town to The Doucy this Saturday (3pm kick off) in what promises to be a cracking local derby. Our visitors from just down the A14 are only a point behind us in the league and will be looking to bounce back from a recent run of two defeats and a draw in their last three league fixtures. Conversely, Wanderers come into the game on the back of three wins and a draw in their last four league games and will be looking to pick up a valuable three points that could see them creep into the top half of the table.
However, all local derby matches have a tendency to ignore the form book and we know that we will have a tough game on our hands against a side who have been well established at this level for some time. The Bury side, managed by former Ipswich Town midfielder Cole Skuse, have already put 5 past our other Suffolk neighbours Stowmarket Town earlier in the season and certainly know where the goal is on their day.
We are expecting a bumper crowd at The Doucy so make sure you get to the ground early to soak up the atmosphere and give your support to both sides with the gate and bar opening at 1.30pm. Online tickets are available on this website so if you want to beat the queues do take advantage of that by snapping up a ticket ahead of the day.
Our thanks as always to our match sponsors Ginger Pickle for their continuing support, find out more about them at https://gingerpicklemarketing.com/
Also our thanks to matchball sponsors for the afternoon, Hadeigh Tyre Group https://www.hadleightyres.co.uk/, who are long time supporters of the club.
